What a weekend

Saturday
kakis met up for a cycling trip at Pulau Ubin. Early meet up for 8.30am breakfast at Changi village. The last time i attended a exercise session? Think its a year ago when we had regular sunday badminton. Thus its a strenous work out for me. On our first round, a durian dropped 5m ahead of us Whoppeee! We were lucky that we didnt cycle faster of one of us would have stike 4d! HAHA. Heng and Nic struggled to open the tiny durian as we didnt have any proper tools. It started raining after noon, and we decided to get our lunch.
We were finishing our 1st round, when 3 foreigners sat at the table beside us. 1st they complained to the waitress that we were smoking, 2nd time, he approached us to tell us to be more considerate and to stop smoking or to shift. This got us really mad. For we were sitting on a designated smoking table, and doesnt seems to believe us that though there are ''no smoking' signs in the eating place, it is actually legal for us to puff in the yellow box. And for us to shift? It doesnt make sense for 9 of us to shift while there are only 3 of them! There are limited smoking tables, but there are plenty of tables for them to choose from. We have food on the table, while they just sat down with a few bottles of beer on the table. Why should we shift? Unpleased with our insistence, he then approached the lady boss who gave him the same reply that we are indeed sitting on a smoking table. Well, they chose to remain in their seats and putting up a disgusted face when we start puffing....
We are not being nasty, but his attitude towards us was really mean. And if there were kids around, i would understand and usually in the case, we would take the initiative to avoid smoking at the table and walk out instead.
Anyway, we continued with our cycling and this time round we cycled to the house with the wild boar. My legs were turning jelly, and i had to push the bike up the slopes as my legs just refused to cooperate. Have not cycled in years, and took me some time to figure out how to use the gears. After that round, i decided to surrender and hub accompanied me at the village where we had fresh coconut.
Think thats the end of the day? Nah, we later met up at night at Charlie's corner for drinks. And Candice came to join us as she has just gotten back from her 3 weeks honeymoon. Lots of toffee for us to try. Yummy. And a pressie for me. Thanks Candice :)

Sunday
It was a rare gal's outing in the day. (haha, cos kakis usually dont meet up on sunday, and even more rare in the day time). Went for a massage session with adel and guat. Then we had our lazy brunch across the street before we started out shopping trip. Heehee. Started with Mango (didnt find anything suitable), then to far east (Adel went home for dinner and candice came to join me and guat), to taka to buy Phiten items and to Wisma. Bought a pair of flats and the best buy was 3 pairs of jeans from gap at $42 each (got additional discount buying 5 items and credit card promo). The curvy bootcut range fits me nicely and guess whats the retail price? Its $149! Their mark up is ridiculous! and to think they are still earning when they sold us the jeans at discount! Faintz...
Ah bear is back in town, thus we met up for drinks. Lots to catch up and we certainly miss him (remmbering all the fun in shanghai). Hub joined us after he finished attending a wedding dinner nearby. And we took a leave first around 1am.

Monday
Just came back from the AYG opening ceremony. Managed to get complimentary tickets earlier today. Felt that more student spectators could be invited to make the occassion more lively, for they are the ones who are more spontaneous. Most seats were empty and that just doesnt look on tv especially when its going to be telecasted in Asia.

Wah. What a long blog entry tonite......
