Surge

My office comp is currently 'hospitalized' after an electrical shock. A blackout lasted 1 minute at my work building on mon. Tried to on my comp and all i get is a blue screen. After 15 mins, its still on the blue screen. Made a SOS call to boo, and his conclusion is that i have to send comp for repairs. Gheez. Called up service centre, who made me do the same steps that boo has instructed me earlier. Phew. a check on the warranty date states that it expires at the end of this month. Heng ah....

'Dragged' the CPU to the service centre yesterday (cos i refused to pay $150 for a on-site service) and i am so glad to hear that they will be sending it back to me FOC.

Lesson learnt: Use a surge protector for computer related electronic products.

A year ago, my house modem was damaged on a thunderstorm nite, after a huge lightning strike. Luckily, the broadband contract was ready to be renewed, and we could get a new one.

Currently using hub's macbook in at work. If not i will go mad without a comp here......
