Adel organized an adventure gathering for 7 kakis for this morning, and where did we go? Off to Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir Park.
After wearing the harness and helmet, the instructor gave us a briefing on safety. We must always be attached to at least 1 safety rope at all times RED ON. Once approved by instructor, we begin our journey. It usually starts with a rope ladder, then all the tedious by fun obstacles (bridges, tarzan swings, parallel ropes). 4 sites in total and each site ends with a Flying Fox. Whoooppeee! Made 1 perfect landing. Hehee. We took a shortcut for the 2nd site, and we are planning to go back and take the new course instead. At first, the legs went jelly, trying to keep my balance on the ropes. But once I managed to clear the parallel ropes, everything else seemed easy. Spotted 4 tiny bruises on my shin, which i guessed i got them while climbing thru the wooden tunnel obstacle. All this rope climbing reminded me of the week i spent in OBS when i was in Sec4, where we canoed every single day thru out the island to pitch our campsite and the rope obstacle course which we had to do. Everything seemed easy when you are young, the energy and what's fear??? haha.
Check out their website for more info at www.forestadventure.com.sg
Later realised that they were featured in Sunday Life today
Since we were in bedok, we decided to eat the chicken rice that was featured in a chinese variety programme few months back. Heng mentioned that the standard has dropped, it was much better on his previous trip. It's not that bad, but will i travel all the way just for it in the future? Nope
Shall post some pics here after candice and faith loads them into facebook :)
