crazy key

Dad dropped his car key on the floor and the housing/remote broke.
Called up toyota to check on the price to get a replacement.
Guess what price did they quote me?

$355 for the housing/remote
$100 for programming of remote to car
thats a total of $455 just for a key!!!!

Thats really ridiculous!
who pays such a sum for keys? not us for sure
dad shall survive with the spare key (without the remote)
